The song and video to We Are the World 25 debuted during broadcast of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. It featured a galaxy of stars who came together to update We Are the World, the Michael Jackson/Lionel Richie penned Africa awareness song/video of 25 years ago.

The video contains footage of the late Michael Jackson, played next to video of his sister Janet Jackson singing the revamped version. All proceeds will benefit earthquake recovery efforts in Haiti.

We Are The World 25 for Haiti was recorded on February 1st, 2010 in Kenny Rogers’ Lion Share Recording Studio, on Beverly Boulevard in California, the same studio as the original 25 years earlier.
